The Founder of the Saving Heritage Foundation – Karavaeva I.E. (Ioanna Reeves)

The main goals of the Foundation’s charitable activities are: assistance in strengthening the democratic social legal state; promoting the strengthening of peace, friendship and harmony among peoples, the prevention of social, national, religious conflicts.

Nowadays, the building of the synagogue in Slonim keeps  its interest  among the experts in the field of historical-cultural preserving  as an object of history and culture, but unfortunately  hasn’t found an interest from the govermental  support programs. The synagogue is in  disrepair and requires immediate measures to be taken to preserve the building.

The Saving Heritage Foundation truly believes that its work embodies a call for organizations, communities, and stakeholders to protect, preserve, and promote their history, culture, and heritage.

The exchange of knowledge, experience, common efforts, strengthening of friendly relations at the international level is a necessary component of the successful implementation of the project, which can allow the Slonim synagogue to remain an invaluable work of human hands not only today, but also for future generations.

The synagogue in Slonim may be considered as a unique monument of a synagogue art in Eastern Europe of 17-18cc.

For many years the building has been empty and takes on the characteristics of ruins.

Renovation is vital to this building. It is a heritage that preserves the unique language of history and culture expressed on the walls of the building both outside and inside.
